They create a real oasis of comfort and respite.
They provide habitat for local biodiversity and help people reconnect with nature.
However, our cities were not designed to accommodate more tree planting.
The underground is already crowded with infrastructure - pipework and cables – that don’t go well with living root systems.
At Urban Canopee, we came up with a solution:
Combining the amazing properties of climbing plants with an easily deployable composite materials structure mimicking the shape of a tree.
